Award winning textile designer Polly Bell creates unique fabrics that bring together detailed illustration, contemporary pattern and sophisticated colour palettes. Living in Somerset, much of Polly's inspiration comes from the countryside and wildlife as well as her extensive travel experiences.
In 2010 Polly received the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Fund to study traditional and modern upholstery at University in London. With a background in both fashion and interior textiles and a rich and varied skill set, Polly is available for commission work as well as offering a range of cushions, lampshades and fabrics printed and made in England.
Last year saw the opening of Kobi & Teal, a new design shop, gallery and studio which Polly co-founded with her partner Nick Fraser. Based in their hometown of Frome in Somerset, Kobi & Teal offers a considered collection of artwork and objects presented alongside Nick and Polly's own work. With a mission to bring together a diverse group of small design brands, individual makers, and contemporary artists, Kobi & Teal holds focus on self-production. Polly will be designing small run designs exclusively for the shop during 2018.
